Scholarship Program

Ikota Educational Foundation (IEF) is committed to ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent talented students from accessing quality education. We announce the availability of partial and full scholarship grants for brilliant but indigent students, current IEF students in need, and families affected by bereavement.

At IEF, we believe in nurturing potential regardless of economic background, recognizing that every child deserves the opportunity to excel academically and develop holistically in a supportive environment.

Students at IEF Schools

Qualifications

IEF offers three distinct scholarship categories, each designed to address specific needs within our community while maintaining high academic standards and ensuring resources reach those who need them most.

1

Full Scholarship (Category One)

*For exceptionally talented students from low-income families*

This comprehensive scholarship is reserved for academically gifted students who demonstrate outstanding potential but lack the financial means to access quality education. By identifying and supporting these students early, we invest in future leaders who will contribute meaningfully to society.

  1. The student must emerge as one of the best twenty students in the IEF entrance examination.
  2. The student should be from a public or private primary school with low tuition fees.
  3. The estimated household income of parents or guardian must not exceed 100% of the tuition per annum, OR the child is orphaned with a guardian willing to support IEF's educational philosophy.
  4. The student must be recommended by the head teacher of their primary school.
  5. The student's parents/guardian must be ready to support IEF's educational philosophy as a family school.
2

50% Tuition Scholarship (Category Two)

*For current IEF students experiencing financial hardship*

We recognise that family circumstances can change unexpectedly. This scholarship supports families within our IEF community who are committed to their child's education but face temporary or ongoing financial challenges. By retaining these students, we maintain continuity in their educational journey and strengthen our school community.

  1. The applicant must be a bonafide student currently enrolled in any of the IEF Schools.
  2. The student must be in good academic standing (Good to Excellent performance in the previous year) and of good conduct.
  3. The estimated yearly household income of parents or guardian must not exceed 100% of the tuition per annum after considering other primary financial obligations of the family.
3

Parent/Breadwinner Bereavement Scholarship

*Compassionate support during family crisis*

The loss of a family breadwinner can devastate a household both emotionally and financially. This scholarship reflects IEF's commitment to standing with our families during their darkest hours, ensuring that tragedy does not derail a child's educational future. We provide flexible, needs-based support that acknowledges the unique circumstances of each bereaved family.

  1. The student must have been enrolled at IEF School for at least one (1) academic session before the bereavement.
  2. The applicant must provide evidence of compelling need showing that the education of their ward would be affected due to the bereavement.
  3. Scholarship awarded based on need and recommendation from school management.
